Welcoming Guest Room

I'm back with another room from our latest Project tour.

In this guest room, I worked around the existing espresso bed.  I found this large round mirror at Homegoods and thought it would be perfect to pair with the dark bed.

Guest Room
I really loved the pillow fabric and wanted to bring in a touch of green on the walls.
The wall color I selected for this room is Benjamin Moore, Moon Shadow.

Its such a soothing green without being too green.

To avoid being too matchy with the nightstands we found these raw/distressed nightstands.  I wanted to bring in another texture with the mercury glass lamps from Potterybarn.
Of course, my favorite, all white bedding with a pop of pillows.

More to share of this home coming soon.

My week in Orange County

I'm home!
I had such a productive week and was able to get a lot accomplished while working in OC.  We had a design presentation for our new client in San Diego, follow up with current projects and had a couple of new consultations.  We have also expanded our product offerings, which I look forward to sharing soon!
I will be back in 2 weeks (Sept 29-Oct.5th)  If you didn't get a chance to meet with with me while I was there, email us.   info@belmontdesigngroup.com.  We have one spot available!!

I have lots of photos from last week and will be posting soon!  This photo is of a kitchen we are currently remodeling.  We stained the beams, plan on painting the cabinets, installing new appliances and making a few cabinet changes.  We are also changing out all of the tile.  Here is a "before" of the kitchen tile...

 Here it is now...making progress.
This arch will be covered in honed limestone installed in a herringbone pattern.  This complicated installation process is taking days!  I know it will look beautiful when it's completed..I can't wait!  The backsplash will be white gloss subway with a framed pattern in the center.

I'll post the completed kitchen when it's ready.

Have a great week!

Project Update

Hope y'all had a great Labor Day weekend!!

I wanted to share just one little before and after (this is more of an almost after)shot of the large scale project we have been working on this summer.  We are almost finished with the construction aspect and installing flooring in a week.  There are so many updated details and photos that we will share very soon!

This is one of the Staircases in the home.  It was very dark so we opened the wall and added an iron railing and moved the ceiling over the staircase back. The iron is still wrapped up because we are waiting to have the handrail/posts and base stained.  It will be stained dark to coordinate with the new wood floors and ceiling beams.  The stairs will have stained treads and white risers to coordinate with the paneling.  When it is all completed we will post the completed staircase.

Just the added sunlight in this staircase makes a huge improvement!!
Stay tuned for more photos!
