PURPLE DECOR

My Mom just brought me this beautiful Italian Home Magazine from her recent trip to Italy.  I am feeling inspired!

Almost every room has Purple in it......next big thing?!?

Purple has never looked so good!  Images of Purple and Coral, Purple and bright orange and reds.....yum.

This week I am in search of the perfect purple color scheme.  Soft linen and white, touches of coral/orange and a splash of amethyst....I can see it now :)

The X Table....HUGE!  I love this one from Cyan Designs.

Branches!  I noticed the use of branches, vines, twigs....all things branchy.

I fell in love with this arrangement at the Aria Hotel.  Wouldn't this be incredibale at a wedding?

This chair is even better in person!  I want it!  Four of these around a black table in my nook would be so fun and different.

I love the texture that branches bring to a space.

PINK was everywhere!  Really, all bright and bold colors are big now but pink was the leader of the pack in Vegas!

GREAT prints on these pillows!

Even just adding some fresh pink flowers to your home is an easy way to incorporate this color trend.

Industrial Chic.  Not a new trend but still huge!

I love these industrial blooming pendants.

Mixing the industrial in any space with any fabric is what I really noticed... Raw wood with a velvet sofa.  I noticed a lot of raw tables with clear acrylic chairs...anything goes.

I think the most important trend is that "anything goes".  Whether its mixing finishes, bright colors, patterns, textures....there are no rules.  Really, the only rule is to ignore all the rules you have lived by before.  It really is a fun time in interior design!

VEGAS MARKET 2011-OVERVIEW

IN LIVING COLOR.....

I just got home from the Las Vegas Furniture Market filled with ideas and inspiration.  Overall, the direction of design is all about COLOR....bright crayon hues!  There was eye candy at every turn....being around that much color just put me in good spirits (despite the monster blisters and feet pain I was enduring-my knee boots where a horrible shoe choice for 12 hours of walking)!  I have many posts to follow regarding trends, color schemes, etc. that I walked away from this show with but I wanted to start with a few favorite inspiring photos.....

Bold wall colors on the walls, accessories, lighting, mirrors,etc. 

There are so many new versions of the sunburst mirror....I will have a new post specifically showcasing these...I have a ton of pictures of mirrors!

Love this bold blue accent color.

Love this table!  I also really like how this orchid arrangement is planted in this tall clear vase!  I walked away with some great floral arranging ideas too...more to come.

The bright green candy looks like an accessory...an example of how bright everything is! 

The bright colors on this painted chair make this piece such a standout!  I love this chair!  I will post a category of colorful chairs, I have lots to share.

Classic, traditional with modern color hues....I love this room (great cocktail table!)

Some shows are better than others but I have to say I walked away from this show feeling inspired!!  So many ideas in my head I have to sit down and compartmentalize!
